Sarpanch shot by militants in Kulgam, shifted to hospita

Kulgam:Aug 04;Basharat Ahmad   Suspected militants on Tuesday evening shot a Sarpanch in Kulgam district.

Sources told Kashmir Despatch that suspected militants fired upon a Sarpanch, who was identified as Asif Ahmad from  Akhran Mir Bazar Kulgam

Sources added that the Sarpanch was shifted to Hospital, where he is under treatment. 

Meanwhile whole area has been cornoded off to nab the attackers.

Pertinently, Teo policemen were injured at Wanpora area of south Kashmir's Pulwama District in a militant attack.

Kashmiri soldier dies in Leh, family appeals to LG to get the body airlifted

Budgam, Feb 25, 22: A Budgam family Friday appealed to the Lieutenant Governor to airlift the body of the soldier from Leh to Srinagar.     An army soldier Bashir Ahmad Ganaie son of Late Ghulam Hassan Ganaie from Wahabpora Ganie Mohalla of Budgam district succumbed in the Leh hospital on Friday morning after suffering from a brain hemorrhage attack a few days back.     Dr Javaid Ahmed, the cousin of the soldier told news agency Kashmir News Trust that Bashir Ahmed died today in the hospital and now they earnestly appeal to the authorities particularly to LG Manoj Singh to get his body airlifted from Leh to Srinagar. GANDERBAL POLICE BUSTED A GANG OF STOLEN VEHICLE SELLERS, RECOVERED 05 STOLEN VEHICLES

GANDERBAL:-  Today on 10.02.2022, Ganderbal Police busted a gang of stolen vehicle sellers and recovered 05 Stolen vehicles, which were stolen from various parts of the country. The whole gang was arrested and stolen vehicles were also recovered from their possession in the jurisdiction of Police Post Shadipora.     To give impetus in the ongoing investigation in the vehicle theft case registered at Police Station Ganderbal vide FIR No. 231/2021 under relevant sections of law, SSP Ganderbal, Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS constituted a special team headed by DO Police Post Shadipora under the supervision of DySP Hqrs.
